The ideal of citizenship and its role in building (political) communities and so democracy more broadly have perhaps never been under as much pressure as today. This is especially so against the backdrop of bespoke processes of community (dis)integration at local, national, international and cross-cutting levels. Dear Members of the Standing Group Citizenship, we are very happy to inform you that our section Putting citizenship into perspective: (A)part of the problem or the solution? has been accepted for the next ECPR General Conference in Wroclaw, September 4-7, 2019.
