ECPR Joint Sessions 2016, Pisa. Workshop “Analyzing Organization in Parliaments: Causes and Consequences”

Tim Mickler (Leiden University) and Shane Martin (University of Leicester) are directing a Workshop on “Analyzing Organization in Parliaments: Causes and Consequences” as part of the ECPR Joint Sessions of Workshops, Pisa, April 25-29th, 2016.

Workshops are closed gatherings of around 20 participants, which last for about five days.

We aim to bring together a group of scholars working on the politics of legislative organization (and in particular, but not exclusively, on legislative committees). We are interested in papers that theorize processes of legislative organization and/or empirically study the processes with regard to a range of situations and positions. We specifically encourage scholars to submit contributions which go beyond congressional theories of legislative organization. We welcome both comparative analyses and case studies from a wide range of methods.

The deadline to apply is December 1st.

For more details and to apply please visit the ECPR website.

Please let Tim (t.a.mickler@fsw.leidenuniv.nl) and Shane (shane.g.martin@gmail.com) know if you have any question.
