The Standing Group on Democratic Innovations hosted its first ever Zoom workshop in response to the cancellation of this year’s ECPR Joint Sessions. Led by Andrea Felicetti, the section “Innovation and Power: Exploring Democratic Innovation and its Main Actors” gathered eight participants to discuss papers on power dynamics emerging from democratic innovations. The digital workshop examined power from the perspective of citizens, political parties, and social movements, with analyses grounded on empirical cases from across Europe.
