UNITN takes part in the international network “Scholars at Risks” (SAR), which aims at promoting academic freedom and at providing support for scholars worldwide who are in a life-threatening condition, or whose work is severely compromised. Given the growing number of at-risk scholars who search for protection in universities based in the EU, UNITN has opened a call for 2 research fellowships (assegni di ricerca) reserved to at-risk scholars (see the eligibility conditions, as specified in the call).
More information on eligibility, selection procedures, timeline, duration and conditions of the contract can be found both in the short outline –enclosed to this email– and in the UNITN web-page (link: https://www.unitn.it/en/ateneo/bando/59169/university-of-trento-call-for-the-selections-for-the-awarding-of-no-2-research-fellowships-assegni-d).
The Department of Sociology and Social Research is involved in the call and it is willing to host succesful candidate(s) who work in one/more of the following research areas: Democracy, Inequality and Human Rights. The deadline for applications is 30 September, 2019.
