New Member of Our Steering Committee!

We would like to welcome Shpend Kursani who joins our steering committee as Outreach officer! The post responds to the ongoing growth of our network and would lead on outreach strategy and implementation, and we are excited foe the contribution that Shpend will be making to this new position.  Shpend Kursani is a Lecturer at the University of Tartu. He defended his New Member of Our Steering Committee!

16 November 2021 – On 3-5 November 2021 a workshop on Secession and (Post-)Liberal International Relations took place. It was organized by one of our members, Lucas Knotter. You can read a brief summary of the workshop below.


07 September 2021 – The Research Network panel at the ECPR General Conference was a great success. The panel brought together cross-regional perspectives on the issues of governance and political violence (mitigation) in the context of intrastate conflicts. 30 August 2021 – We had a successful first business meeting of the Statehood, Sovereignty, and Conflict Research Network. Thank you everyone for attending! We look forward to continuing to work with you on the planned activities and on building our network.
