Dear SGIR members,

As many of you will know, the deadline for panel and individual paper proposals for the ECPR General Conference is fast approaching (19 February).

For this year’s program, we are delighted that there will be several strong sections with a focus on IR that might be of interest to you. SGIR has endorsed excellent sections on Global Political Economy: Wither Globalization? (section chairs: Andreas Dür and Lisa Lechner), European-Chinese Relations and the Reshaping of Global Order (section chairs: Mladen Lišanin and Dejana Vukasovic), The Causes and Effects of IO Conditionality (section chairs: Nikitas Konstantinidis and Yannis Karagiannis), and The European Union in Global Governance (section chairs: Madeleine Hosli, Spyros Blavoukos, and Jan Wouters). Together with the Standing Group on Political Sociology, SGIR is also supporting a cross-cutting section endorsed by the Standing Group on Political Concepts on Concepts, Practices, Action: Theories, Methodologies and Techniques of Analyzing Politics Beyond the Nation State (section chairs: Claudia Wiesner and Kristin Anabel Eggeling).
