Reading list on Ukraine, and Russia’s Invasion

On the occasion of the one-year anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, we would like to share with you a reading list on Ukraine, the years preceding the full-fledged war, and the broader implications of Russia’s invasion. By doing so, we hope to contribute to a better understanding of these topics, but also offer a useful research and teaching resource. The list is by no means exhaustive and, where possible, we would encourage you to explore works written in languages other than English, including from the authors already listed. The reading list is now open-access and you are welcome to add works. When doing so, please consider we would like to strive for a list that is as diverse and inclusive as possible, e.g. in terms of topics or of authors’ background, affiliation, seniority or gender.

With many thanks to Nicholas Barker, Roman Kalytchak, Katsia Lozka, Tetyana Malyarenko, Irena Remestwenski, Stefan Wolff, and Kateryna Zarembo.
