Vacancy: Lecturer in Normative International Political Theory

UCD School of Politics and International Relations (SPIRe) (Permanent)

Applications are invited for a permanent appointment as Lecturer (above the bar)
in the UCD School of Politics and International Relations (SPIRe).

The person appointed will be expected to contribute significantly to research and teaching in normative international political theory at undergraduate and graduate levels. The principal motivation for this post is to maintain existing teaching strengths in political theory (citizenship, democratic theory, the history of political thought) and to further strengthen the School’s graduate teaching and research profile in international politics, to help in promoting cooperation with other
areas of the school (notably the work of colleagues specializing in international relations, gender and conflict, human rights and development studies), and to develop links with the college, wider university and external bodies.

Note: It is envisaged appointment will commence in August 2015; but earlier start date(s) will be considered.
