Newsletter September 2022

Dear POVB members,

First we would like to thank all of you who have participated in our #ecprgc22 panels and our business meeting. All @ECPR_povb panels were very well attended. We would like to thank all of our presenters, discussants, and panel chairs for their participation and for making the conference a success! We also had a very fruitful business meeting –  you have already received some updates regarding the ECPR Research Grant. Furthermore, we have discussed our future activities and you will soon receive an invitation to a web survey regarding your opinion about the potential of organizing our own events, such as our own POVB SG conference.

Below you may find information about the  ECPR Joint Sessions 2023, updates about the POVB Best Paper and news from POVB members

Endorsement for ECPR Joint Sessions 2023

The CfA for the ECPR Joint Sessions 2023 (25 – 28 April in Toulouse) is out and the deadline for  proposals is on October 18, 2022 (for more details see: https://ecpr.eu/JointSessions)

Standing Groups or Research Networks may endorse only one Workshop each. Endorsed proposals are treated preferentially by the ECPR.

If you have a proposal that might be interesting to the POVB community, please send it to us before  October 9, 2022. The endorsed proposal will be announced by October 14, 2022.

Updates about the POVB Best Paper

The discussants of our panels (or in case of conflict of interest, additional reviewers) have chosen and they have sent us the best paper from each panel. All these papers are now on their way to the POVB Best Paper Committee consisting of Marina Costa Lobo, Romain Lachat and Eelco Harteveld. We  will be able to announce their decision in the following weeks. Stay tuned!
