At this year’s general conference our standing group sponsored the section ‘Justice on the Move: Space, Place and Contexts for Transitional Justice and Human Rights’. Webinar with Mr. Fabian Salvioli, United Nations Special Rapporteur for Truth, Justice, Reparation and Guarantees of Non-Recurrence

Rationale: This webinar seeks to connect communities of scholars and practitioners working on transitional justice and connected fields. Funded by the Human Rights and Transitional Justice standing group of the European Consortium for Political Research it is co-hosted by the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights. Section on ‘Good Governance through Transitional Justice?‘ –2015 ECPR General Conference in Montreal, Canada.

At the ECPR general conference in Montreal, the ECPR Standing Group on Transitional Justice and Human Rights organised a section on “Good Governance through Transitional Justice”. Transitional justice policies explicitly aim to (re)-build good governance and democratic institutions in contexts of transition. New Steering Committee

Following our annual business meeting at the 2015 ECPR General Conference in Montreal, a new Steering Committee has been formed for the Standing Group on Human Rights and Transitional Justice. Both Anja Mihr and Stefan Engert have stepped down after three years of committed work as co-convenors and co-founders of the Standing Group. Carlos Fernández New Steering Committee

3rd Convenor added

We are happy to conform, that our Executive Committee and Convenors of the Standing Group on Human Rights and Transitional Justice has expanded after the Bordeaux conference. Julie Bernath will be the third Convenor and will act as the contact for early stage researchers.
