CfP 2023 ECPR General Conference- Panel “Diaspora Diplomacy as a Positive Actor in Conflict Settings”

Interested in “diaspora engagement” and “public diplomacy”?

The panel “Diaspora Diplomacy as a positive actor in Conflict Settings” focuses on one of the multiple diplomatic actors of the post-Westphalian diplomacy- diaspora communities, and more precisely on their positive role in the different phases of conflict settings: pre-conflict, hot conflict, peace-making democratization, and post-conflict reconstruction.

Therefore, we welcome papers featuring case studies and comparative studies which look at how diaspora communities have engaged in preventing, disrupting, or mitigating conflicts in the last few years and how they contributed to democratization and post-conflict reconstruction.

Please send your paper proposal to sorina.carstea.001@student.uni.lu by midnight, UK time, February 27
