Gender-Focused Parliamentary Institutions Research Network (GenParlNet)

In 2013 the Gender-Focused Parliamentary Institutions Research Network (GenParlNet) was established in Barcelona by Joan Grace and Marian Sawer to link researchers working in this field. It aims to help in developing a consistent approach to analysis and comparison of such bodies, which range from standing committees and commissions to all-party parliamentary groups and women’s Gender-Focused Parliamentary Institutions Research Network (GenParlNet)

PoWER – Political Women and Executive Representation

We are pleased to announce the launch of the PoWER website:  http://genderpower.net/main/ Political Women and Executive Representation (PoWER) is an international research group dedicated to understanding patterns of women’s representation in the executive branch. Our main goal is to explain when, why, and how women are recruited to political executives in parliamentary and presidential democracies.
